“One of the major reasons I used to break out was because of the foundation I would wear .”
Oh, makeup…one of my favorite health topics to talk about. Why? Because frankly, our country is very uneducated about health standards when it comes to beauty products. Unless you look for it, a lot of this knowledge is not out there. But, to give you an idea of how far behind we are as a country, the US has not regulated ingredients in beauty products since the 1930s. Yes, you read that right. So most of us have no idea what we are wearing on our face.
One of the major reasons I used to break out was because of the foundation I would wear. I won’t name all the brands I tried, but you can buy them at your local drugstore. It took me years to realize what was causing it.
Most makeup in stores, such as foundation, have what is considered “fillers” in it to make it cheaper to buy and cheaper to produce. These fillers are often of oily substance, which can obviously cause breakouts. So if you think your skin is oily, it might honestly just be your makeup.
Take a look below to see the difference between foundations left out over time. See how much oil it produced just laying there? That shouldn’t happen. Now look at Arbonne’s foundations. See the difference?
Arbonne is a brand that goes by European standards. Their number one goal is supporting a healthy lifestyle. The reason there is a difference is because Arbonne does not formulate with mineral oil, animal byproducts, or any of the other unnecessary ingredients that some other companies do.
I WILL NEVER WEAR ANOTHER FOUNDATION FROM THE DRUGSTORE because of this. It grosses me the hell out! I would rather wear nothing than put on the oily grease I used to.
Please do your research so you know what you are buying, whatever brand it is. Your health is something to invest your time and energy in.
